A Message from Neal Halford

Monday July 23rd, 2001

This is Neal Halford. I have a titbit of information that I thought might be of interest to Feistfans the world over. 'Swords and Circuitry: A Designer's Guide to Computer Role-Playing Games' hits the streets this week, and thanks to Ray's and Sierra On-line's gracious blessings, I've provided small samples of the game script and design document of 'Betrayal at Krondor' for would-be designers and 'Krondor' players everywhere to enjoy. The book also features an in-depth interview with John Cutter who provided the lead design on BAK, and he and I discuss some of the joys and frustrations we experienced while creating this absolutely one-of-a-kind bestselling game.

Co-written by me and my wife (Jana Halford), 'Swords and Circuitry' is now available through Waldenbooks, B. Dalton, Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Borders, CompUSA, Best Buy, and all other major outlets where books and games are sold. Please feel free to drop by my site at http://Neal.Hallford.com where you can read Chapter 1 of 'Swords and Circuitry' with an Adobe Acrobat Reader, or learn more about this terrific, how-to book now available from Prima Games Development.
