Return to Krondor Review at GODS

Monday November 30th, 1998

Games of Diverse Strategy has posted a quick take of RtK, or the first chapter at least:

So, with a bumpy development cycle, and a company taking over another companies work, I wasn't expecting much from this version of Krondor. I figured it would be a bust, and Sierra would concentrate on the next installment.

Luckily, I was wrong. This doesn't have the feel of a game designed by two different teams, as I thought it would have. The game mechanics flow nicely, and work very well. Allow me to explain...

However, the game was not really produced by two different teams. 7th Level did some very basic design work before PyroTechnix took over development two years ago, and Sierra bought PyroTechnix, not just the RtK code, so the team remained the same during the real development time.
