Writers are almost never asked to be on talk shows, and those who are usually are non-fiction writers. It's easy to pump a diet book, but talking to writers of fiction about fiction is not easy for most TV talking heads.
I've been on Good Morning America, Good Morning Australia, several local and cable TV book chat shows and a lot of radio. But nothing after the 11 o'clock news.
