Pug means "Pug," as in "little guy," or "short kid," or "short nose." The name that means "one who stands between worlds," is the secrete name Pug called "Milamber" learned as one of the final rites of his maturation into a Greater Path. I never revealed it. I don't think he ever had a "birth" name, as his mother abandoned him hours after birth. The monks found him later that day.
