Do you plan to focus more on the main characters in the final books or have them interact with more you create?

Define "main characters," I guess. Pug and Thomas (less than Pug) have been around since the 1st book. Nakor and Jimmy were around a long time. But Talon was the "main" character of two of the three Conclave books while Erik and Roo were the significant characters in four titles, Erik being around as a secondary character for a few more.
If a reader has a problem with a writers cast, either the writer hasn't done a good enough job defining them or the reader isn't paying attention. It's not fair to ask the reader to take notes while reading novels, but on the other hand if the writer says, "Joe, the grandson of the original Joe" several times in the books, the reader shouldn't be getting Joe I and Joe II confused, especially if Joe I is dead.
So, I'm not sure how to answer the question, really; Pug and Tomas will be around. You will see a slug of new characters in A Kingdom Besieged, because they are important characters.
