What do you feel when you kill off characters?

Actually, I feel like GOD! when I kill them off!!!!!

Seriously, sometimes it tough. Because, while you like/dislike characters as a reader, as an author you're their dad. Now, before someone goes seriously Freudian on me, what I mean is a good character is like money in the bank. And the fact I'm killing off all those characters who made the 1st series so popular means I can't get lazy and have to come up with some good new ones.

But in the end, if I don't kill them off, we're both going to be pretty sick of Jimmy the Hand when we write/read "Jimmy the Hand vs. Rocky XXVIII." smiley

Best, R.E.F.
