Why are you so optimistic about your characters, no one in Magician seemed to be 'bad'

Not true of all my work, but certainly it appears that way in Magician. That's because there are few really "evil" people in the world. Everyone is the hero of his/her life. Guy was a special case, because he wasn't a "bad" guy, just someone with a seriously
out of shape ego ("I'm the only one who can save the Kingdom") and a serious pragmatic streak.

But if you look at characters like Render and Sylvia you discover some pretty evil characters, and that's not even looking at the supernatural evil guys like the Dread and Zaltais.
